Working Parent
Entitlement from 9 months old to 3 years old
Parents claiming the Working Parent
Entitlement can claim either term time only or stretched. Children that attend
a session using their full hours to cover that session (E.g. a full day and
using 10 hours funding) will not occur a consumables charge, any hours /
sessions outside of the funded hours, for school holidays (term time claims)
and for the week between Christmas and New Year will be charged at full price.
FEET Funded children &
EYPP
Children that are claiming FEET
funding and/or Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) will not be charged a
consumables charge.
FEET Funding is offered term time
only for morning sessions on Mondays and Fridays, parents and carers are
responsible for full price fees during the school holidays if they choose for
their child to remain in the setting during holiday periods.
Children that move from FEET
funding to 3-year-old & 4-year-old funding will be offered the same place
as per their FEET funding with no consumables charge.
3 & 4 Year old
funding (universal entitlement and Working Parent Entitlement)
All children claiming funding of
either 15 universal funding or 30 hours (universal and Working Parent
entitlement) per week will be required to pay a daily fee for consumables. The
consumables charge below covers items and activities that are not included in
the funding, items such as: meals and snacks, outings for children (including
covering additional staff to maintain ratios), extracurricular activities,
nappy and toileting supplies.
The funding is delivered so Parents
can then choose to use their hours in the following ways:
1.
10 hours in one full
day with a fee of £21 for consumables. Days that are not funded will be charged
in accordance to the nursery session prices.
2.
5 hours in one session (half a day, ether
morning or afternoon) with a fee of £16 per session for consumables.
3.
8 hours in one
“Preschool day” doing 8am to 4pm with a fee of £18 per session for consumables.
4.
Parents can use
Individual hours per session once they have used all their hours on full days,
the remaining fee for that session is then charged for.
The Consumables charge
covers:
�
Meals, snacks and drinks: Cow’s Milk, Lunch, tea,
and snacks as needed.
�
Admin: using the Famly app, bookings, information.
�
Toiletries such as nappy sacks, wipes, toilet
paper, nappy cream (Sudocrem) or flannels etc.
�
Suncream: Applied as per our Sun Protection Policy.
�
Extracurricular activities such as phonics, sports
and music sessions.
�
Outings
�
Events: Family & celebration events run
throughout the year.
All children are
automatically charged consumables charges upon registration to ensure that
Little Cherubs Nursery can provide the children with high quality care and
education.
Opting out of consumables
charges
We recognise that some
families may prefer to provide their own items. Parents who wish to opt out of the
consumables charge the all-in package must responsibility for supplying:
�
Meals and snacks in accordance to our Packed meals
policy.
�
Toiletries such as nappy sacks, wipes, toilet
paper, nappy cream (Sudocrem) or flannels etc.
�
Suncream.
Parents must understand
that once they have opted out of the consumables charge their child will not be
able to participate in extracurricular activities such as phonics, sports or
music sessions. They will only have access to outings and events that meet the
requirement of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
To opt out, parents
must:
�
Submit a formal opt-out request in writing at least
one month before the next billing period.
�
Provide all required items in full and on time in
accordance with the nursery’s guidelines.
�
Ensure that all items meet the nursery’s safety and
quality standards.
Failure to provide the
necessary items will result in the child being unable to attend until all required
supplies are provided.
Reverting to the consumables
charge:
Parents who wish to
return to the all-in package must:
�
Submit a request in writing.
�
Resume charges from the next invoicing period.
Mid-month or mid-term changes will not be
�
accommodated.
�
Provide their own items until the new billing
period begins. The nursery will not supply consumables during the transition
period.
Families who choose to
opt out of our consumables charge for meals must still follow strict
guidelines, it must be agreed in writing in advance, we do not accept
lunchboxes brought from home as regular practice – see” packed meals
policy”.
